Hey guys so I thought I'd show you something I’ve
never shown you before and has my Christmas sterling silver charm bracelet. So this is it I finally added this year's charm
to it, so it's this one and I love charm bracelets, especially the vintage
style. It's like a journal on a wrist adding little memories to it but anyway I
started keeping this not keeping, keeping this journal, keeping this journal
bracelet I started this charm bracelet in 2010 and I was trying to come up with
different ways to document my life and have little trinkets look back on to
remember that time of school. So here are the charms on it.
I really like the ones with the wreaths. Some of these
are previously engraved, there's one engraved on here from 1967 and I wasn't
around in 67, not that old, but I love the vintage ones especially the ones
with their name on it. They're just so quaint and endearing looking to me, a
little frosty there I really like that one and then that tree, where you go I
liked enough to get two of the same one, so this and this are my favourite. I
finds more candy canes, let's focus you in there, so yeah there it is, it's I
can't believe this thing is you know, I’ve been doing this for six years now
and I think it'd be kind of a fun heirloom to have. I usually wear it around
Christmas and kind of have it in holiday pictures and is a part of my holiday
memories and this one is on, towards the end, it says merry Christmas and happy
new years. You can kind of start like 12 days of Christmas and end with a New
Year charm.
I also have a birthday charm bracelet and a normal
charm bracelet, like if everything in my life. If you like to see those let me
know. I just want to show you this because it's one of my favourite things,
some of my favourite keepsakes like traditions that I’ve kind of been trying to
get into and I love energy stuff. So yeah there it is, it's kind of loud,
turning this book. Anyway I hope you enjoyed this and let me know if you have
charm bracelets and what your favourite types of bracelets or charms are and
how many years you've been doing yours. I think it'd be cool to have one that
we started as a kid and you're like 60 now and you have it from your whole life
or something. See I want to keep doing this and eventually it'll be old like
me. No, I think it'd be really fun to have like 50 years worth of charms on
here.
I don't actually have them engraved with what year I’m
adding to it and that would be a nice thing, but I don't want to add to the
cost. So I just don't do that. I thought about just writing on the back and a
like a super fine pin what year, you just from by didn't really get around to
that. So for now this they're not engraved or dated, but I just like the idea
of having a different charm from every year and adding to memories. I do have a
Christmas journal so if you want to see that, that's kind of more theme to my
channel but I might start adding in my Christmas journal which charms I add
each year. I love charm bracelets and holiday traditions, Christmas journals,
Christmas charm bracelets and yeah there it is. Ok it's like five o'clock in
morning I'm going to go to sleep, I’ll see you later have a good night and yeah
Merry Christmas, a few years too late. All right bye
Hey guys, welcome to another video. So in this video I wanted to
actually go through my accessories bin. A few months ago I purchased this thing
to attempt to try to organize everything, so that I can make outfits and you
know try to create something cool with all these accessories. Instead it's just
a huge jumble up of different gold bracelets and gold necklacesand
rings. I never really wear them, I never really know what's even in here. So
I’m just going to go through it with you guys. You guys can comment if you
think I should keep something.
I could just show you some of my favourite things in this first
bin right here. I try to attempt to designate it for woven or beaded bracelets,
it was a time where I went a little bit crazy and I decided that I want to
stack thousands and thousands of beaded bracelets. Again one of those trendy
things that really came on trend, it's still a little bit trendy but right now
we're going into minimalism and all this like very simple things. One bracelet,
one necklace and that stuff, so this trend kind of died down that's why I’m
kind of gearing away towards trends personally in my aesthetic but anyways I
have a huge collection of beaded bracelets.
So of these there are a few that I actually really like and have,
it has sentimental value and others I just bought as like a pack from aldo so
I’m not going to talk to you guys about these cheap ones because look it's
already like coming off, the string is coming off of it, so it's a little bit
pointless to talk about these. So basically they're just wooden beaded
bracelets that you get in one of those like $15 packs from aldo, not that
special so I don't even know if I’m going to keep those or not but then there
are some that I actually really like and have sentimental value. So for
example, this one is a green jade bracelet that I actually picked gold when I
was in Iran. I went there about two summers ago, last summer actually, not two
summers ago and I just really like when I go places like this you see street
vendors, you see people you know in little shops, a little alleyway and like
buying things like this. I like jewellery pieces because when you wear it next
time, like if I wear right now, it takes me back to the moment where I bought
it on my vacation and it just has sentimental value and it's not like a poor
quality, when you hold it it's a really heavy type of jade material, so it's
not just something like a random bead on a random string.
You know another one was this multi-coloured one and this is just
cool. It's just like different multicolours. Another is the same jaded material
but in this brick colour name with this red one and you know, you'll never know
when this trend will come back. Right now I look like someone going to
Coachella but you never know, cloth and fabric, so I’m going to share with you
some of my favourite ones. Actually forever21 came out with these fabric ones a
while back and they're really simple kind of like rope, they were a dollar,
like 99 cents or something, but there's just something about them that's really
cool. If you just add one of these to your outfit, we can get it on, so if you
just add one of these to your outfit, it's just a simple rope but it adds just
a little bit of a texture.
Right now I really like wearing this because it's not that bold
and I have one in this colour. It's a red colour and then one in a blue colour
and one in a turquoise colour. To do this is why, this is one reason why I
don't wear accessories that much, because I just am so impatient opening and
closing them, especially bracelet it's on it and it's on this white rope. So
again, very simple. I like simple jewellery much better, especially for men's
jewellery. Just something simple, a little string, a little band, the little
beads.
I don't like very flashy and that's just my personal taste though,
so you can have your taste. If you like really bold and flashy things, but I
personally like bracelets like this and I think I’m going to keep it off and
these are just real leather and they're woven, really cool, so you can see here
it's kind of like a woven material leather and then this one as well. So it's
like this braided leather look, so I really like these as well, again for the
sentimental value, but also they look really cool and anything that's handmade
and real leather and really good quality. I really like things that are you
know, fake leather and knock off and that polyurethane. It just doesn't feel right
and it smells really weird - I don't like that chemical smell, this one smells
like real leather.
I have some knockoff bracelets actually, so let's get into it. I
have this kind of bracelet knockoff, so it's not a real one obviously, so it's
like in this rose gold colour. I really love this because first of all I don't
really like knockoffs to begin with, but I just think this design thing is
element is so cool and let's face it guys, I’m not going to be able to afford a
bracelet from Cartier but at least I can afford the same style of it and I just
think it looks really cool on. It's like this folded nail that goes around and
I really like that and another piece that I’d really, I’m not sure why I bought
it, because it's just really blocky and really fake looking is this. It's just
like a heavy, looks like a handcuff really. I don't know why I wanted to
handcuff myself, like I’m not that freaky and like have those kind of fetishes
now. I'm just kidding, very fake looking gold, like I can peel the gold off of
this and when you wear it it's just like really big and clunky, it really looks
like I’m in a jail, like I’m a prisoner but at the in the website image it
looked cool. So I thought maybe I should buy it, but this is one thing that I’m
going to take out of my accessories bin, because I’m never really literally
going to wear this this one.
On the other hand the gold is like a stainless steel, so it looks
nice. The middle drawer right here was supposed to have four rings, none of
them is. This ring from marc by marc jacobs, they're like super cheap too. I
got this in Vegas and it's a it has Latin sayings on it. Now this one is the
Latin saying one is just a simple, it's a simple band with this Latin saying on
it. Now I got the one that says “donec mors nos separaverit” which means until
death do we part, something like that but I got it because it says nemo. So why
not hit this nail motif, I also got a silver nail ring, so it's the nail ring
in silver and I just think that one looks really cool and I usually like
wearing both of these together.
So these are my go-to rings that I wear. I wear one on one hand
and one on the other, so have some really simple rings that I usually just,
these are good for like stacking, also I didn't mean to flip you guys off okay
and then lastly I wanted to talk about my necklaces that were in this box as
well. Some are cool and somewhere again, I don't know why I bought them now.
This one is interesting, it's just a silver linked chain-linked metal chain. So
it's just simpler, it's a little bit on the flashier bigger side but it's not
that bad if you're just wearing a white t-shirt, I feel like or a black t-shirt
and you have this over it.
I'm so lazy with these things, like I’m going crazy right now guys
there's all this stuff on. I just like being really simple, some of it
sometimes, but yeah it's not that bad, it looks cool, it looks good with this
outfit too. A little bit, but this is nice on the other hand. I do not know why
I have this. This is like rappers, like my 2 chainz am I. I know this is, I
don't know why I bought this, it's just like a fake gold huge heavy chain, like
I’m a small person wearing this, it looks like I’m like in those cartoons when
they have this like tiny person with a huge like thing over their neck. So this
I’m not going to wear.
Everything's tangled, you know what I should just not wear
jewellery. Okay, so this is my other very favourite necklace. Cheap jewellery,
this is like a cheap, really cheap piece of jewellery. It was 399 but there's
just something about the design of it, it has a feather at the end with a
turquoise bead and then it's just a simple chain. Now I got this at a really
hard, I was going through a really hard time of my life a few months ago, this
feather was like really when I saw it, it was just like really symbolic and I
was like, oh like getting feathers and like flying away might sound cheesy and
corny to you guys, but at the time it was really uplifting. I wore it for the
longest time, just under my clothes and it just really gave me strength for
some reason. I don't know, I had some emotional attachment to it and I really,
really liked this. One of my most treasured pieces, even though it's worth the
least.
I hope you guys enjoyed my accessories drawer. I know I got a few
requests from showing some mens jewellerypieces and I’m sorry
that this wasn't very organized, as you can see. I have so much stuff, but so
little organization, which I’m going to get into more.
Ah viewer comment time. Adana writes. Hey
spanky. Yes I’d like to see videos on accessories. Well I’m glad you asked, so
here it is. Hey fashion lovers spanky valentine here with urban original at
urban og calm. This video is all about how to accessorize different necklines.
Well paint me yellow and call me a banana. It's excessive, it's time, so what I
do is I grabbed about eight different tops from the website and I’m going to
show you guys what types of jewellery to pair with the different cuts of your
neckline. We got scoop necks, both next turtlenecks, no next everything is in
between and we're going to show you how to rock it. Contest winner, any contest
will be announced later in the video so stay tuned for that as usual.
So I just picked out a basic scoop neck
top, now a great way to accessorize a scoop neck is to pick jewellery that kind
of mimics the cut of the actual top itself. In this case I chose a solid gold necklace, now I won't generally
wear jewellery that's really bold kind of statement piece jewellery, but don't
think that you have to do that to accessorize something. If you're more
conservative or you like more simple jewellery, then stick with your style.
It's all about enhancing you and your personality. If you guys maybe have
shorter hair styles or you want to balance it out a little bit more and bring
some attention up to your face and not so much around the neckline, then I
suggest pairing it with some simple, simplicity is key here. Is this too much,
little gold hoops, hoops are going to bring up some balance, I’m not going to put
them on, but you guys can see what that looks like.
It's going to draw some attention more up
closer to your face and it's, but it's still not going to overpower the
necklace and the neckline of this top. Alright guys so here is a boat neck line
oh what think the bow is kind of a shallow version of the scoop, that's a
little more straight across so what you want to do with something like this is
to wear long jewellery, that's really going to help elongate your body, since
it's all the way up on your neckline. You don't want to wear something super
short up here, it's just going to kind of cut you off a little bit too much. So
I chose pretty much a standard pendant necklace, okay so here's what it looks
like together. Again I chose something that's really long so it's going to help
you look long and lean and very slender which is great.
I chose some long earrings as well,
because you can get away with that with a longer necklace and they're not going
to conflict. Then I’m going to throw on some bangles to dress this up, bangles,
I love them, it's a great way to really and add some extra flair to your
outfit. So here's this look, now let's check out another one, all right girls
now I’m sure all of you guys have v-neck tops in your wardrobe. What I like to
do with v-necks is pair Jewellery that accentuates the v, see how that plays
really nicely with the v, it adds a very sexy attention down to the cleavage.
Eyes up here, naughty, naughty and because I wanted to accentuate the v line of
the shirt, with the necklace, I decided to go minimal with the jewelry. So I’m
not, you know clashing with too much attention. Another great thing about these
type of necklaces, these hoops is they are interchangeable. So these are
awesome to have because even if you had a pendant on a chain, maybe a longer
chain, you can take the piece off and voila you have an entire different
necklace. Pretty awesome right, yes, you really enchanted by my jewelry. Now
let's move on to something a little more complicated. How about a one-shoulder
top, all right is the dreaded one-shoulder top I don't know if I can handle it.
Oh fear not we've got a couple of different options for you here, now often
when I wear a one-shoulder cut, I like to let the cut do all the talking and
minimize the jewelry. So I’m not going to do necklaces with this, instead I’m
going to get some long kind of dangle drop inspired earrings that are going to
look perfect. So I’ll put these on to show you guys. So these type of earrings
are really elegant. I think the one shoulder look is a very elegant, very
feminine, look so we want to stay very feminine with it and they're not going
to take away an attention from the cut of the neckline, which is great and then
I’m just going to throw on a bangle on the wrist.
I'd like to put my bangles on the open
shoulder side, so that the attention is drawn because you have a bear our bear
arm and then you have something really lovely down here and then the attention
is drawn on whatever the detail is of the actual shoulder line. Any symmetrical
Jewellery is awesome and super unique and very trendy. Now asymmetrical
earrings maybe a little bit more difficult to find because they're not you know
the most common thing, but if you do find a pair grab them. It's a spectacular
way to dress up something like, this ears and all that fierce so the heavier
side is going to go with the open shoulder part and then the more minimal side
is going to go with the shoulder that's covered.
Turtlenecks are great because you can
accessorize these pretty easily in a lot of different ways, because it's full
coverage. I like to pair it with some full coverage jewelry. So think of a
solid colour turtleneck as your accessories best friend. It's pretty much like
a blank canvas and you can paint it any way that you want. So what I like to do
is get really bold full Jewellery to drape over my turtlenecks, it's a great
classic look and look at how much it dresses up such a simple top instantly.
Now when you're wearing a turtleneck, be as it goes all the way up the
neckline, I can't see it all, this fabric yeah it's going to make your neck up
here a little bit shorter, so if you already have shorter necks or you just
want to elongate your body then a great option is to wear kind of a long opera
style pendant necklace.
I'll show you what that looks like, so
this again it's going to elongate your body. It's going to make you streamline
long and thin and it's going to help make your neckline look long as well. Ok
so now let's take it on to another look, so you want to know how to accessorize
a strapless top. I'm sure you guys have tons of them. What I like to do is wear
chokers, so the choker is the perfect accessory to wear with a strapless
neckline because you have all of this space that you can use it's kind of your
real estate you can build some property up there. Now if you're going out since
it is colder and you're going to throw on a cardigan, I’ll show you a great way
to accessorize. Throwing something like this on that's going to change the look
of the neckline. You have a long streamlined look of the cardigan, so I decided
to match that look with a long opera style necklace. Yeah I love this, it's
going to make you look really long and tall pair this look with some heels and
you're going to be looking so fabulous.
Hi everybody, its Cara. I'm here with partthree of my tutorials on
how I make mycharm bracelets. In the last one I showedyou how to use split ring or a jump ringand how I attached all
my charms, how Ifigure out where I want them to go, sohere is the bracelet
with just thecharms and hopefully you can kind of seehow they're pretty
evenly attached. LikeI said I counted it all out and get themas even as I can because
it makes mylittle OCD brain happy.
So after I finishwith those two charms then comes timefor the beads, so here
is all the beads Ihave set up so far. I have a variety ofsome clear, some blacks
and purples alittle bit of bling that I added to someof them. I have them all
ready to go, I amplanning on using all of these but Inever know for sure until I start addingeverything and I've
already got them onthe split rings.
I want there to be moredangle in this bracelet
so I'm puttingeverything on kind of bigger split ringsbut let me show you how
I would puttogether one of these. I would start witha head pin, let's see,
if I can get one ofthose, okay and then I would pick, this isthe head pin I'm using,
like I said Ithink in number one the head pin is justthe one that has the
flat end like anail and I will pick let's see mm-hmm, Iusually just kind of
play around withthem until I find something that I likeand let's see, we'll
try, maybe one ofthese little,of course it's not cooperating with meright now. Try one of
these littlerhinestone ones, so put that on therefirst and then maybe one
of these roundclear ones, like that and then see whatthis pretty purple one
looks like. I likethat. Maybe, let me see about this onekind of the lighter, hmm I think I kind of
like that one.
Letme see before I move on, let me try onemore, bit of a darker
purple maybe thatway nope, that way, maybe let me mix thesearound a little bit.
This is literallywhat I do with every single one, figuringout which way I like it.
That almostlooks like a little person with a bigfat head. I think I will
skip that one. Let's see I just kind of want to get alittle bit more purple
on here, that'skind of cool, that one's kind of square.
Okay I think I'm gonna go with that one. So now
that you've had it you have itpicked and they're all on the head pinas you can see, you have
to cut off theextra part, that's your top of that headpin that you're not
going to use. So Iusually, depending on how big I want myloop to be, leave about
round about thatmuch, it's probably, let's see we'll dothis. It's abouta little over like a
little over aquarter inch, maybe even a little bitless and again this
depends on how bigyou want your loop.
So you have that, wecan see it and hopefully
I didn't cut ittoo short, then you take your curvedpliers and again I apologize I don'tknow the exact names for
these and you, near the base of the wire or the headpin where it meets the
bead, you takethat and bend it in about a ninetydegree angle or as close as you can get, depending on the beads
of course, theshape of the beads. You see that, maybeif it’s up against the
background that, okayand then this is where the curved plierscome in handy because
you're gonna thentake it and bend it backwards, curving itover the pliers trying
to, which thisone's not cooperating, trying to bend itinto a loop shape.
So that you can eitherattach it to a jump ring
or split ringor directly to a chain and I'm not doinga super great job
because I'm nervous atdoing this, on cameraand these are by no means perfectlyrounded, like I said
before I'm not aprofessional, I just get it to where Ican you know I think
that the shapelooks decent enough to put on a braceletand you want to make
sure that that endis as far down as possible and connectsand closes, obviously.
So it will stay, let's see hopefully you guys can see thelittle loop, so it'll
stay on thebracelet and then basically I would takeone of my split ringsand I could add it to
this split ringto the chain and the charm all atthe same time, but I don't want to dothat because I want you
guys to see, andI've found a little way that I kind ofcheat this tool, I think
you know mostpeople just use it to open it up alittle bit like that,if you leave enough room
and you turn itthat little part that sticks out longeropens it up a little bit
wider and ifyou're quick and get it going, then itdoesn't hurt your
circle, doesn't changethe shape.
So then this would be ready toput on to the bracelet.
So after thoseare all done the next thing will be allthe buttons which I have
ready to go andthe buttons are also put on either witha split ring or a jump
ring and it justdepends on the button itself on howyou're gonna do it. Some of these buttonslike this one have this
shank on theback, I think that's what that's calledand you may be able to
use a split ringon that and you know from my earliervideo, split ring is gonna hold it onbetter.
Sometimes though they're toothick and you can't get
this split ringto work so you go to the jump ring. Alsoif you want to use
buttons that are likethis one, that don't have that shank onthe back, then you can
attach it justlike that using a jump ring. I have avariety of buttons here,
I'm planning onusing them all but again I won't knowuntil I'm actually
putting the bracelettogether.
This is a mix of vintagebuttons, these are
vintage over here, these in particular are glass vintagebuttons and there's a
metal one and thenthese are some just plastic beads Ipicked up in a variety of places. So Ihope that answers some
questions withhow you create your beads and attachthem and I will be back with the fourthand final tutorial,
which willshow the bracelet mostly completed andwe'll probably put on
the last button orbead together. So you can see how I dothat.
So thanks for watching and again ifyou have any questions
or comments leavethem down below and I hope whereveryou're at you're having a great day, bye.
Hey fashionistas, it's Shay again answering
all of your wonderful dilemmas. Today's dilemma is how you actually match
accessories and jewellery with the fabulous dress and the shoes once you got
those two together.
So I'm going to give you some ideas and some
tips that you can possibly run and play with just as some options that you may
be able to actually use. Right here beside me I have my fabulous trusty
mannequin. I'm going to actually put her in a black dress I'm keeping it very
light and simple.
Now some of you fashionistas may have issues
in regards to floral dresses red dresses or blue ones but the overall premise
is always the same. Nine times out of 10 the jewellery should always match the
actual dress that you are wearing, instead of your actual shoes. So this particular
basic black dress that I have on I'm going to actually pair her with many
different options for you, just so you can get a good idea.
Okay this fabulous solid gold necklace that I have here is not only black but it's also black
with some silver rhinestones in the actual neckline of the dress, you have the
necklace where it lays, notice that it has fabulous patterns as far as it being
twisted which is another good benefit as well. You also want to make sure that
whatever necklace you pair with the actual dress has other matching
accessories.
So in this particular case that wonderful
necklace has a wonderful really cute bracelet that you can wear with it as well
that will look absolutely fabulous as far as those accessories go.
So it's a fabulous piece wonderful eye candy
and you can also match it even further with some really cute earrings, so in
other words you keep it very simple nothing too busy doesn't draw any major
attention to the items but it still matches perfectly with the actual dress itself
as well as the shoes.
Another good necklace that you can try on is
this guy right here. This one is all black, once again mate it looks really
cute very simple pretty straightforward classic piece, nothing too busy about
it, keeps it pretty simple okay, just a basic black necklace.
If you want to take it up a notch you can
always try some funky accessories to match your stuff that no one else probably
would have thought of; i.e. the pieces that I'm actually wearing. Black is
nowhere in the actual colour scheme however it will look absolutely fabulous
with the dress as well. This necklace that I had on actually had three
different shades of purple and silver in it, the dress doesn't have any of
those colours anywhere in it, but notice that the dress still matches really
well and then necklace adds that wonderful pop of colour that you need.
So sometimes it's something as simple as doing
something like that and if you're a fashionista out there who is a daredevil
you really want to try something really outrageous and interesting with your
overall dress and shoes, you can always go for something that's really
different. This particular necklace as you can see is black and silver but it's
a quite a unique looking piece, because it not only accentuates the neck but it
also travels all the way down to the actual bust line of the wearer and it has
a wonderful matching bracelet that you can wear with the particular item, as
well as really nice earrings that you can wear that are fabulous that bring the
piece together.
So these accessories look really good when you
have a dress already matched together as well as with the shoes. You don't want
to get into the dilemma of where you're trying to find out what should I do
because you already have the shoes in place along with the dress.
Just remember the main focal point in most
cases is actually the dress, so once you have the dress, the shoes will
probably come next and accessories need to play off of your actual item of
clothing; which in this case is the actual dress. Hopefully I gave you some
really good fashion tips with these particular jewellery accessories that you
can possibly use, but I also have some other accessories that you can wear
outside of actual jewellery pieces. That includes this fabulous belt that you
can possibly wear around your waist that would look really nice in regards to
putting it on with the actual dress and the shoes that you already have picked.
I mean this is just the one that I have so you don't have to have an actual you
know belt but if you choose to you can.
Just to play with it it actually turns the
whole dress into a whole different look as you can see. You can also make it a
little bit more edgier as well by doing some funky bracelets. Some of the ones
that I have include this wonderful snap bracelet and which you probably have
seen it on a clip of mine before. Absolutely love this bracelet and it's a real
funky piece that you can possibly use as well, that will look really good and
with this dress as well as any other dress that you may choose because it is
sterling silver.
I also have this wonderful bracelet as well
that is stretchy, so for all fashionistas you can actually wear this. It has
wonderful loops where you can actually put the loop through and pick the actual
size of the bracelet that you would actually like to wear. So that's another
good one that you can wear with this dress as well as any other dress that you
may have in your closet, just as an idea and it snaps on your wrist just like
that. So hopefully those ideas are beneficial to you in regards of trying to
find the perfect accessories to wear with their dress and those pair of shoes,
but remember don't stress over it just make sure whatever accessories you
decide to wear, look absolutely fabulous with your dress and the shoes will pop
all on their own. It's your wonderful fashion stylist Shay giving you some advice thanks and have a fabulous day.
When choosing a necklace to wear
with a small pendant, make sure that the size of the necklace is in proportion
to the pendant. Also you will find that a plain gold necklace
will allow the pendant to be the feature, rather than the chain itself. You
will notice how the necklace worn with the v-neck is in great proportion to the
clustered diamond pendant and the pendant is the feature of this combination.
Hello I'm Rachel
and I'm going to be giving you guys a little bit of advice about something that I've
definitely had a few questions about over time which is what necklaces go well
with what necklines.
So let's get started. All right
let's start off with a crewneck top which is the one I'm wearing currently. It
is a neckline that is curved and isn't like your higher neck stuff. When you
have a crewneck or a curved neckline on your top you need to make sure that
your necklace actually follows that line as well so I wouldn't have a v-shaped
necklace. As you can see with this necklace it lays really nicely it's not up
here looking a little bit awkward how the tassels are and stuff like that. You
need to keep in mind as well also about how your necklace lays.
The next really simple neckline is
the ‘V’ neck which is pretty self-explanatory it is a neckline in the shape of
a V. What I was talking about with the crewneck and following the shape with
the round neckline with a v-neck you also need to have a necklace that follows
the V shape. So this is a perfect opportunity to wear a really simple necklace
and it'll look really cute
.
Another thing you could do if you
want something a bit more ‘statementy’ and less simple is you could wear a
necklace like this. It also shows the v-shape and looks incredibly cute. Next
is the high neckline like this top here. Now a high neckline is the perfect
opportunity to be wearing a statement necklace. Statement necklaces are
definitely one of my favourite things right now and they definitely add
something a bit extra to the outfit.
The next one that I know a lot of
people struggle with is the one-shoulder. Now for the one shoulder I'm going to
tell you right now do not wear a necklace. Honestly it's just going to look
awkward and adding a pair of statement earrings instead is so much more worthwhile.
Now one thing I really want you guys to take away from this today is only have
one statement accessory whether it's your neck lace, your earrings or a ring or
even a headband. Only have one thing, I mean honestly even though I’m talking
about necklaces in particular today, you don't have to have your necklace as
your statement piece. So I have my statement earrings and I have a really
simple bracelet and a ring instead of the necklace.
Next is the sweetheart neckline
and in are you guys right now module at whoa that's not a sweetheart neckline.
Okay it's the exact same rules as if you have straps or if you don’t. Have your
sweetheart neckline is exactly the same as having a v-neck, the same rules
apply to that, because there's still got the tiny little v-shape. I have once
again have a very simple little necklace.
So with the roll neck I like to
wear longer necklaces because I feel like if you wear shorter necklaces it's
just going to look chunky and bulky because you've already got a lot going on
up here so I would say definitely stick to longer necklaces. Next is the
strapless neckline which is self-explanatory there's no straps going on here.
So my favourite thing with a strapless is to wear a statement necklace with it
with a rounded shape. When you've got a strapless neckline it's really
important to know you have a decent gap between your necklace and your neckline
so it's not looking awkward. Like what I talked about with like the tassels are
making sure it lays flat and doesn't look awkward.
My other recommendation with a
strapless neckline is; a longer style necklace because it always looked really
really cute it's obviously not going to have any awkward situations and
actually I'm going to have another recommendation as well. When you have a
strapless dress make sure that you actually feel comfortable in it, it's not
falling down you're not pulling it up all the time because it's not going to
look really pretty. So when you wear a strapless dress make sure you feel
comfortable in it you can absolutely just rock that dress.
Okay, second last is my favourite
thing coloured button up shirts, so my favourite thing to do with them is
definitely to have a cute little pendant peeking out through the collar.
Another recommendation that I have is when you have silver buttons or trims or
things like that on whatever it is you're wearing. Make sure that your
accessories actually match because it's going to look awkward if you have gold
buttons or something going down your shirt and then you have all silver
accessories.
You want everything to match and
for it to just look incredible. Last but certainly not least is the cut-out
neckline. Now a cut-out neckline is definitely part of the statement of your
outfit so there's no point in putting a necklace right next to it. It's not
going to look very good. So like what I said with the one-shoulder dress wear
maybe some statement earrings instead.
With this dress though it's
definitely an incredibly bright colour it is the statement of my outfit so with
this I am going to go with some really simple earrings and with the collared
dress it's really important to think about also contrasting, like what I've
done with this bracelet here. I hope this video has been helpful for maybe at
least one of you guys and if you want me to do more videos like this in the
