Great Ways to Accessorize with Jewellery from Fraser Ross

Ah viewer comment time. Adana writes. Hey spanky. Yes I’d like to see videos on accessories. Well I’m glad you asked, so here it is. Hey fashion lovers spanky valentine here with urban original at urban og calm. This video is all about how to accessorize different necklines. Well paint me yellow and call me a banana. It's excessive, it's time, so what I do is I grabbed about eight different tops from the website and I’m going to show you guys what types of jewellery to pair with the different cuts of your neckline. We got scoop necks, both next turtlenecks, no next everything is in between and we're going to show you how to rock it. Contest winner, any contest will be announced later in the video so stay tuned for that as usual.

So I just picked out a basic scoop neck top, now a great way to accessorize a scoop neck is to pick jewellery that kind of mimics the cut of the actual top itself. In this case I chose a solid gold necklace, now I won't generally wear jewellery that's really bold kind of statement piece jewellery, but don't think that you have to do that to accessorize something. If you're more conservative or you like more simple jewellery, then stick with your style. It's all about enhancing you and your personality. If you guys maybe have shorter hair styles or you want to balance it out a little bit more and bring some attention up to your face and not so much around the neckline, then I suggest pairing it with some simple, simplicity is key here. Is this too much, little gold hoops, hoops are going to bring up some balance, I’m not going to put them on, but you guys can see what that looks like.

It's going to draw some attention more up closer to your face and it's, but it's still not going to overpower the necklace and the neckline of this top. Alright guys so here is a boat neck line oh what think the bow is kind of a shallow version of the scoop, that's a little more straight across so what you want to do with something like this is to wear long jewellery, that's really going to help elongate your body, since it's all the way up on your neckline. You don't want to wear something super short up here, it's just going to kind of cut you off a little bit too much. So I chose pretty much a standard pendant necklace, okay so here's what it looks like together. Again I chose something that's really long so it's going to help you look long and lean and very slender which is great.

I chose some long earrings as well, because you can get away with that with a longer necklace and they're not going to conflict. Then I’m going to throw on some bangles to dress this up, bangles, I love them, it's a great way to really and add some extra flair to your outfit. So here's this look, now let's check out another one, all right girls now I’m sure all of you guys have v-neck tops in your wardrobe. What I like to do with v-necks is pair Jewellery that accentuates the v, see how that plays really nicely with the v, it adds a very sexy attention down to the cleavage. Eyes up here, naughty, naughty and because I wanted to accentuate the v line of the shirt, with the necklace, I decided to go minimal with the jewelry. So I’m not, you know clashing with too much attention. Another great thing about these type of necklaces, these hoops is they are interchangeable. So these are awesome to have because even if you had a pendant on a chain, maybe a longer chain, you can take the piece off and voila you have an entire different necklace. Pretty awesome right, yes, you really enchanted by my jewelry. Now let's move on to something a little more complicated. How about a one-shoulder top, all right is the dreaded one-shoulder top I don't know if I can handle it. Oh fear not we've got a couple of different options for you here, now often when I wear a one-shoulder cut, I like to let the cut do all the talking and minimize the jewelry. So I’m not going to do necklaces with this, instead I’m going to get some long kind of dangle drop inspired earrings that are going to look perfect. So I’ll put these on to show you guys. So these type of earrings are really elegant. I think the one shoulder look is a very elegant, very feminine, look so we want to stay very feminine with it and they're not going to take away an attention from the cut of the neckline, which is great and then I’m just going to throw on a bangle on the wrist.

I'd like to put my bangles on the open shoulder side, so that the attention is drawn because you have a bear our bear arm and then you have something really lovely down here and then the attention is drawn on whatever the detail is of the actual shoulder line. Any symmetrical Jewellery is awesome and super unique and very trendy. Now asymmetrical earrings maybe a little bit more difficult to find because they're not you know the most common thing, but if you do find a pair grab them. It's a spectacular way to dress up something like, this ears and all that fierce so the heavier side is going to go with the open shoulder part and then the more minimal side is going to go with the shoulder that's covered.

Turtlenecks are great because you can accessorize these pretty easily in a lot of different ways, because it's full coverage. I like to pair it with some full coverage jewelry. So think of a solid colour turtleneck as your accessories best friend. It's pretty much like a blank canvas and you can paint it any way that you want. So what I like to do is get really bold full Jewellery to drape over my turtlenecks, it's a great classic look and look at how much it dresses up such a simple top instantly. Now when you're wearing a turtleneck, be as it goes all the way up the neckline, I can't see it all, this fabric yeah it's going to make your neck up here a little bit shorter, so if you already have shorter necks or you just want to elongate your body then a great option is to wear kind of a long opera style pendant necklace.

I'll show you what that looks like, so this again it's going to elongate your body. It's going to make you streamline long and thin and it's going to help make your neckline look long as well. Ok so now let's take it on to another look, so you want to know how to accessorize a strapless top. I'm sure you guys have tons of them. What I like to do is wear chokers, so the choker is the perfect accessory to wear with a strapless neckline because you have all of this space that you can use it's kind of your real estate you can build some property up there. Now if you're going out since it is colder and you're going to throw on a cardigan, I’ll show you a great way to accessorize. Throwing something like this on that's going to change the look of the neckline. You have a long streamlined look of the cardigan, so I decided to match that look with a long opera style necklace. Yeah I love this, it's going to make you look really long and tall pair this look with some heels and you're going to be looking so fabulous.

Charm Bracelet Tutorial

Hi everybody, its Cara. I'm here with part three of my tutorials on how I make my charm bracelets. In the last one I showed you how to use split ring or a jump ring and how I attached all my charms, how I figure out where I want them to go, so here is the bracelet with just the charms and hopefully you can kind of see how they're pretty evenly attached. Like I said I counted it all out and get them as even as I can because it makes my little OCD brain happy.

So after I finish with those two charms then comes time for the beads, so here is all the beads I have set up so far. I have a variety of some clear, some blacks and purples a little bit of bling that I added to some of them. I have them all ready to go, I am planning on using all of these but I never know for sure until I start adding everything and I've already got them on the split rings.

I want there to be more dangle in this bracelet so I'm putting everything on kind of bigger split rings but let me show you how I would put together one of these. I would start with a head pin, let's see, if I can get one of those, okay and then I would pick, this is the head pin I'm using, like I said I think in number one the head pin is just the one that has the flat end like a nail and I will pick let's see mm-hmm, I usually just kind of play around with them until I find something that I like and let's see, we'll try, maybe one of these little, of course it's not cooperating with me right now. Try one of these little rhinestone ones, so put that on there first and then maybe one of these round clear ones, like that and then see what this pretty purple one looks like. I like that. Maybe, let me see about this one kind of the lighter, hmm I think I kind of like that one.

Let me see before I move on, let me try one more, bit of a darker purple maybe that way nope, that way, maybe let me mix these around a little bit. This is literally what I do with every single one, figuring out which way I like it. That almost looks like a little person with a big fat head. I think I will skip that one. Let's see I just kind of want to get a little bit more purple on here, that's kind of cool, that one's kind of square.

Okay I think I'm gonna go with that one. So now that you've had it you have it picked and they're all on the head pin as you can see, you have to cut off the extra part, that's your top of that head pin that you're not going to use. So I usually, depending on how big I want my loop to be, leave about round about that much, it's probably, let's see we'll do this. It's about a little over like a little over a quarter inch, maybe even a little bit less and again this depends on how big you want your loop.

So you have that, we can see it and hopefully I didn't cut it too short, then you take your curved pliers and again I apologize I don't know the exact names for these and you, near the base of the wire or the head pin where it meets the bead, you take that and bend it in about a ninety degree angle or as close as you can get, depending on the beads of course, the shape of the beads. You see that, maybe if it’s up against the background that, okay and then this is where the curved pliers come in handy because you're gonna then take it and bend it backwards, curving it over the pliers trying to, which this one's not cooperating, trying to bend it into a loop shape.

So that you can either attach it to a jump ring or split ring or directly to a chain and I'm not doing a super great job because I'm nervous at doing this, on camera and these are by no means perfectly rounded, like I said before I'm not a professional, I just get it to where I can you know I think that the shape looks decent enough to put on a bracelet and you want to make sure that that end is as far down as possible and connects and closes, obviously. So it will stay, let's see hopefully you guys can see the little loop, so it'll stay on the bracelet and then basically I would take one of my split rings and I could add it to this split ring to the chain and the charm all at the same time, but I don't want to do that because I want you guys to see, and I've found a little way that I kind of cheat this tool, I think you know most people just use it to open it up a little bit like that, if you leave enough room and you turn it that little part that sticks out longer opens it up a little bit wider and if you're quick and get it going, then it doesn't hurt your circle, doesn't change the shape.

So then this would be ready to put on to the bracelet. So after those are all done the next thing will be all the buttons which I have ready to go and the buttons are also put on either with a split ring or a jump ring and it just depends on the button itself on how you're gonna do it. Some of these buttons like this one have this shank on the back, I think that's what that's called and you may be able to use a split ring on that and you know from my earlier video, split ring is gonna hold it on better.

Sometimes though they're too thick and you can't get this split ring to work so you go to the jump ring. Also if you want to use buttons that are like this one, that don't have that shank on the back, then you can attach it just like that using a jump ring. I have a variety of buttons here, I'm planning on using them all but again I won't know until I'm actually putting the bracelet together.

This is a mix of vintage buttons, these are vintage over here, these in particular are glass vintage buttons and there's a metal one and then these are some just plastic beads I picked up in a variety of places. So I hope that answers some questions with how you create your beads and attach them and I will be back with the fourth and final tutorial, which will show the bracelet mostly completed and we'll probably put on the last button or bead together. So you can see how I do that.

So thanks for watching and again if you have any questions or comments leave them down below and I hope wherever you're at you're having a great day, bye.

How to Match Jewellery

Hey fashionistas, it's Shay again answering all of your wonderful dilemmas. Today's dilemma is how you actually match accessories and jewellery with the fabulous dress and the shoes once you got those two together.

So I'm going to give you some ideas and some tips that you can possibly run and play with just as some options that you may be able to actually use. Right here beside me I have my fabulous trusty mannequin. I'm going to actually put her in a black dress I'm keeping it very light and simple.

Now some of you fashionistas may have issues in regards to floral dresses red dresses or blue ones but the overall premise is always the same. Nine times out of 10 the jewellery should always match the actual dress that you are wearing, instead of your actual shoes. So this particular basic black dress that I have on I'm going to actually pair her with many different options for you, just so you can get a good idea.

Okay this fabulous solid gold necklace that I have here is not only black but it's also black with some silver rhinestones in the actual neckline of the dress, you have the necklace where it lays, notice that it has fabulous patterns as far as it being twisted which is another good benefit as well. You also want to make sure that whatever necklace you pair with the actual dress has other matching accessories.

So in this particular case that wonderful necklace has a wonderful really cute bracelet that you can wear with it as well that will look absolutely fabulous as far as those accessories go.
So it's a fabulous piece wonderful eye candy and you can also match it even further with some really cute earrings, so in other words you keep it very simple nothing too busy doesn't draw any major attention to the items but it still matches perfectly with the actual dress itself as well as the shoes.

Another good necklace that you can try on is this guy right here. This one is all black, once again mate it looks really cute very simple pretty straightforward classic piece, nothing too busy about it, keeps it pretty simple okay, just a basic black necklace.

If you want to take it up a notch you can always try some funky accessories to match your stuff that no one else probably would have thought of; i.e. the pieces that I'm actually wearing. Black is nowhere in the actual colour scheme however it will look absolutely fabulous with the dress as well. This necklace that I had on actually had three different shades of purple and silver in it, the dress doesn't have any of those colours anywhere in it, but notice that the dress still matches really well and then necklace adds that wonderful pop of colour that you need.

So sometimes it's something as simple as doing something like that and if you're a fashionista out there who is a daredevil you really want to try something really outrageous and interesting with your overall dress and shoes, you can always go for something that's really different. This particular necklace as you can see is black and silver but it's a quite a unique looking piece, because it not only accentuates the neck but it also travels all the way down to the actual bust line of the wearer and it has a wonderful matching bracelet that you can wear with the particular item, as well as really nice earrings that you can wear that are fabulous that bring the piece together.

So these accessories look really good when you have a dress already matched together as well as with the shoes. You don't want to get into the dilemma of where you're trying to find out what should I do because you already have the shoes in place along with the dress.

Just remember the main focal point in most cases is actually the dress, so once you have the dress, the shoes will probably come next and accessories need to play off of your actual item of clothing; which in this case is the actual dress. Hopefully I gave you some really good fashion tips with these particular jewellery accessories that you can possibly use, but I also have some other accessories that you can wear outside of actual jewellery pieces. That includes this fabulous belt that you can possibly wear around your waist that would look really nice in regards to putting it on with the actual dress and the shoes that you already have picked. I mean this is just the one that I have so you don't have to have an actual you know belt but if you choose to you can.

Just to play with it it actually turns the whole dress into a whole different look as you can see. You can also make it a little bit more edgier as well by doing some funky bracelets. Some of the ones that I have include this wonderful snap bracelet and which you probably have seen it on a clip of mine before. Absolutely love this bracelet and it's a real funky piece that you can possibly use as well, that will look really good and with this dress as well as any other dress that you may choose because it is sterling silver.

I also have this wonderful bracelet as well that is stretchy, so for all fashionistas you can actually wear this. It has wonderful loops where you can actually put the loop through and pick the actual size of the bracelet that you would actually like to wear. So that's another good one that you can wear with this dress as well as any other dress that you may have in your closet, just as an idea and it snaps on your wrist just like that. So hopefully those ideas are beneficial to you in regards of trying to find the perfect accessories to wear with their dress and those pair of shoes, but remember don't stress over it just make sure whatever accessories you decide to wear, look absolutely fabulous with your dress and the shoes will pop all on their own. It's your wonderful fashion stylist Shay giving you some advice thanks and have a fabulous day.

Necklaces and Necklines Styling Tips

When choosing a necklace to wear with a small pendant, make sure that the size of the necklace is in proportion to the pendant. Also you will find that a plain gold necklace will allow the pendant to be the feature, rather than the chain itself. You will notice how the necklace worn with the v-neck is in great proportion to the clustered diamond pendant and the pendant is the feature of this combination.

Hello I'm Rachel and I'm going to be giving you guys a little bit of advice about something that I've definitely had a few questions about over time which is what necklaces go well with what necklines.

So let's get started. All right let's start off with a crewneck top which is the one I'm wearing currently. It is a neckline that is curved and isn't like your higher neck stuff. When you have a crewneck or a curved neckline on your top you need to make sure that your necklace actually follows that line as well so I wouldn't have a v-shaped necklace. As you can see with this necklace it lays really nicely it's not up here looking a little bit awkward how the tassels are and stuff like that. You need to keep in mind as well also about how your necklace lays.
The next really simple neckline is the ‘V’ neck which is pretty self-explanatory it is a neckline in the shape of a V. What I was talking about with the crewneck and following the shape with the round neckline with a v-neck you also need to have a necklace that follows the V shape. So this is a perfect opportunity to wear a really simple necklace and it'll look really cute
.
Another thing you could do if you want something a bit more ‘statementy’ and less simple is you could wear a necklace like this. It also shows the v-shape and looks incredibly cute. Next is the high neckline like this top here. Now a high neckline is the perfect opportunity to be wearing a statement necklace. Statement necklaces are definitely one of my favourite things right now and they definitely add something a bit extra to the outfit.

The next one that I know a lot of people struggle with is the one-shoulder. Now for the one shoulder I'm going to tell you right now do not wear a necklace. Honestly it's just going to look awkward and adding a pair of statement earrings instead is so much more worthwhile. Now one thing I really want you guys to take away from this today is only have one statement accessory whether it's your neck lace, your earrings or a ring or even a headband. Only have one thing, I mean honestly even though I’m talking about necklaces in particular today, you don't have to have your necklace as your statement piece. So I have my statement earrings and I have a really simple bracelet and a ring instead of the necklace.

Next is the sweetheart neckline and in are you guys right now module at whoa that's not a sweetheart neckline. Okay it's the exact same rules as if you have straps or if you don’t. Have your sweetheart neckline is exactly the same as having a v-neck, the same rules apply to that, because there's still got the tiny little v-shape. I have once again have a very simple little necklace.

So with the roll neck I like to wear longer necklaces because I feel like if you wear shorter necklaces it's just going to look chunky and bulky because you've already got a lot going on up here so I would say definitely stick to longer necklaces. Next is the strapless neckline which is self-explanatory there's no straps going on here. So my favourite thing with a strapless is to wear a statement necklace with it with a rounded shape. When you've got a strapless neckline it's really important to know you have a decent gap between your necklace and your neckline so it's not looking awkward. Like what I talked about with like the tassels are making sure it lays flat and doesn't look awkward.

My other recommendation with a strapless neckline is; a longer style necklace because it always looked really really cute it's obviously not going to have any awkward situations and actually I'm going to have another recommendation as well. When you have a strapless dress make sure that you actually feel comfortable in it, it's not falling down you're not pulling it up all the time because it's not going to look really pretty. So when you wear a strapless dress make sure you feel comfortable in it you can absolutely just rock that dress.

Okay, second last is my favourite thing coloured button up shirts, so my favourite thing to do with them is definitely to have a cute little pendant peeking out through the collar. Another recommendation that I have is when you have silver buttons or trims or things like that on whatever it is you're wearing. Make sure that your accessories actually match because it's going to look awkward if you have gold buttons or something going down your shirt and then you have all silver accessories.

You want everything to match and for it to just look incredible. Last but certainly not least is the cut-out neckline. Now a cut-out neckline is definitely part of the statement of your outfit so there's no point in putting a necklace right next to it. It's not going to look very good. So like what I said with the one-shoulder dress wear maybe some statement earrings instead.

With this dress though it's definitely an incredibly bright colour it is the statement of my outfit so with this I am going to go with some really simple earrings and with the collared dress it's really important to think about also contrasting, like what I've done with this bracelet here. I hope this video has been helpful for maybe at least one of you guys and if you want me to do more videos like this in the future give me a thumbs up or comment below and don't forget to subscribe, bye.

Silver Necklaces - Chains & Pendant Necklaces - Fraser Ross

Often you will hear people say that they are a ‘silver’ or ‘gold’ person. What they really mean is that they prefer the colour silver over the colour of yellow gold. A silver necklace is very close in colour to a white gold necklace, slightly less in weight and considerably less in cost.

The real reason the majority of people would choose a silver chain over a white gold chain is simply the expense. Most people couldn’t tell the difference just by looking at them and if the silver chain is well made, it will last just as long as a gold chain will.

Sterling silver and fine silver do however tarnish with time. This is actually a chemical reaction between the silver and sulphur compounds found in the air or even in perspiration. The reaction causes some of the silver to be converted into silver sulphide, and the colour of the silver becomes slightly yellowish. As the tarnish progresses further with time, the yellow colour darkens and eventually will become nearly black.

Fortunately, it is pretty simple to remove tarnish and restore the necklace or bracelet to looking brand new again. Tarnishing isn’t a ‘problem’ with the quality of the jewellery. The Queen has some magnificent silver and her staff have to polish and clean it regularly to remove and prevent tarnish. I’m sure that every piece of her silver is the best quality money can buy, so don’t blame tarnish on the jewellery, blame it on the metal itself.

We stock a wide range of sterling silver chains in many styles, all of which can be made to any length. This allows you to have the design of your choice made into a bracelet, anklet or silver necklace to the exact length that fits you perfectly.

In addition to our silver necklace chains, we have silver bracelets in all the same styles, so you can mix and match to create a matching set. Our sterling silver charm bracelets have been chosen for their open style links. These are typically long curb, cable and belcher chain styles, and the open links allow for easy fitting of the jump rings to hold your charms in place. The belcher chains are most suitable for charm bracelets, and the smaller width chains have more links than the larger width chains per inch. The more links, the more choices for attaching charms, and the B3 is our most popular chain for people who want a sterling silver charm bracelet.

With a range of over 4600 charms (and growing) order a number of charms and a silver bracelet and we will send you a beautiful silver charm bracelet made just for you and ready to wear. We are happy to offer the same service with our solid gold charms and gold bracelets.

Gorgeous Gold Chains for Sale – Fraser Ross Jewellery

Gold Jewellery is traditional, sophisticated and stylish. If you’re looking for the best of the best, make sure you’re shopping with Chain Me Up where you’ll find some of Australia finest quality jewellery. But which gold, you ask? We offer a wide variety of custom chains in traditional “yellow” 9ct gold, rose gold and white gold in a variety of designs, check out the great designs we have on offer.

Figaro Chains :  Figaro chains are a truly classic design, they’re often described as romantic because of their delicate loops of varying sizes. The figaro chain usually consists of two small circle links that connect to one larger oval link and this pattern continues on throughout the length of the chain, our figaro chains are slightly different to your run of the mill chains. Our figaro chains have only one smaller link connected to the larger more rectangular link, this gives our chains a romantic and feminine appearance.

Box Chains : Box chains are an interesting and unique chain design, they make a great stage to show off a delicate necklace pendant, however heavier pendants aren’t highly recommended as box chains tend to be more fragile than they appear. Small, lightweight pendants and charms are a great compliment to a beautiful box chain. These gorgeous gold chains have a similar appearance to paper chains, the delicate links are knitted closely together like little open ended boxes. Box chains are available in variety of widths in our online store.

Curb Chains : The curb chain gives off a demeanour of strength, boldness and power, if this sounds like you then maybe you’ll find your interests in a curb chain. Curbs chains are exceptional durable and suit both men and women, though the thicker, chunkier styles have more of a masculine vibe and are more suited (though not limited) to men’s style. Available in a range of widths there’s a chain to suit everyone, curb chains are bevelled in a fashion that allows them to reflect a higher level of light than most chains. Because of the way they are designed they are one of the shiniest, light catching designs and you’ll be sure to grab everyone’s attention when the Australian sun bounces of the supple curves of your curb chain whether it’s draped around your neck, wrist or your ankle.

Our other Chains : Chain me up offers a brilliant variety of designs including Belcher, Long Curb, Cable and Roller Gold chains. All of our chains are available in 9ct gold, rose gold, white gold and sterling silver to give you near infinite styles and was to wear your jewellery.

Check out all our quality jewellery at excellent prices at Fraser Ross.
